Mahindra XUV7OO : An SUV like no other

Every new year brings us new commodities by various brands in the market to get more customers.
One such commodity is owning a car one day and after a home, owning a car is on everyone's wishlist.

With every new car being launched there is always a lot of hype among the fans, former owners, and admirers of the brand. but the hype and excitement here always depend on the car being launched.
This year saw one of the biggest launches of the year by Mahindra, the XUV7OO.

THe XUV7OO is an evolution to its predecessor the XUV5OO. in its time the XUV5OO was one of the best SUVs Mahindra has ever made. Ive been in one and I was really impressed to see that Mahindra can make some really good SUVs.

But as the years came and competitors like the Jeep Compass and the Tata Harrier came in, It was really clear that Mahindra had to update the XUV5OO. Since the XUV5OO was already a great SUV itself, there were huge, huge expectations for its replacement and Mahindra had a lot to fulfill the demands of many customers. Especially those looking for an SUV above 13 Lakh, those who didn't want to settle down with the Hyundai Creta. And as a car enthusiast, I must say that the XUV7OO has exceeded my expectations.

In terms of design, it does look sharp and striking, although the grill may look a bit overdone, I feel that it complements the LED DRLs really well. The rear tail lamps get the arrow effect LED treatment which does look smart. All in all, its fthe best looking Mid size SUV out there. Mahindra designers haven't disappointed at this sector and I'm really sure that it will turn heads wherever it goes.

Mahindra has always been top notch in terms of build quality, as a consumer I do expect around 4 stars of the global NCAP safety crash tests, at one point I was wary about the plastic tail gate but later realised it's better for weight saving and durable than metal alternatives themselves! Also Luxury car makers such as Jaguar and Volvo use them too!

On the Inside is where I believe Mahindra has done the best work, You're welcomed by huge twin screen setup, one for the infotainment and the other for the digital drivers display There's a leather strip that runs across the dashboard which looks really premium, Mahindra has left no stone unturned. Few low quality plastics aside, the interior overall is good.

Coming to my favourite part, the engines.
I'm a huge fan of the Turbo petrol unit, the biggest change here is Powered by the m-Stallion Engine, the XUV7OO produces a class leading 200 HP, which is humongous at this price range. Even popular cars like the creta feature a 140 HP unit while the Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun come with 150 HP Units, the diesel unit is powerful as well.

In terms of tech and features, Mahindra did everything it can, name it and you have it, A sony Speaker system, a 360 Camera, a digital drivers display, a huge infotainment system with multi drive modes, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The list is endless and I'm not kidding, the XUV7OO is feature packed to the brim even if you go for the middle variants like the AX3 and AX5 as well.

In terms of pricing it begins from 11.99 lacs for the petrol manual MX variant Ex showroom but I might suggest to wait for On road pricing to get  better information.

All in all I'm sure that the Mahindra XUV7OO is a really awesome SUV, disrupting the mid size SUV market is what it may end up doing. But this won't be an easy one since competitors like Hyundai, Kia, Tata, MG, Skoda, Volkswagen, have their offerings and more brands are going to come with their own as well.

So that's it on my views for the XUV7OO
Hope you enjoyed reading this thread.

P.S. This is not a promotional post, Im just expressing my thoughts on the XUV7OO since it's the car thats most impressed me in its segment.
